Supernatural Powers began as a teacher's collection of the small wonders that pass through human hands: a magazine that once lay on a desert porch, a postcard that carried someone's love across an ocean, a brass thimble worn smooth by patient work. I believe such objects hold a quiet power, and that they find their keepers in time.
